Project #1- Basement Converted into Habitable Space

This was a full basement conversion with full basement waterproofing and structural works. The client wanted to increase their living space and create a new lounge. Note the removal of the two internal dividing walls creates a dramatic effect to open up the space.

Project #2 - Vaulted Basement Converted into Habitable Retail Space

This barrelled vault was a damp unused space. Water was penetrating through the ceiling as the vault had a pavement above, and was partially earth retaining. Dampness was also rising and penetrating through the vertical walls. A cavity membrane was fitted to all surfaces which allowed water to drain all around the vault behind the membrane, without penetrating throught to the new dry surface. This transformed the vault into a dry usable space.

Project #3 - Window Opening Enlarged And Created

This existing window opening was small and rather gloomy. The opening was increased and a new retaining wall was built using reclaimed bricks to match and conserve the existing Victorian style. A new window was then installed which creates more light.
